AVI-Tech flags net loss for half-year as semiconductor demand weakens

AVI-Tech states that its balance sheet remains strong and will update on the Create Technologies transaction in accordance with the rules.

AVI-Tech Holdings expects to report a net loss for the half year ended 31 Dec. 2025, reflecting a decline in performance compared with the same period a year earlier, following a preliminary review of its unaudited results.

The company stated that weaker results stem from a challenging operating environment in the semiconductor and electronics industries, characterized by declining enterprise demand, heightened competition, rapid technological shifts, inventory imbalances, and ongoing geopolitical tensions, all of which continued to impact revenue and profitability during the period.

AVI-Tech said its financial position remains supported by a strong balance sheet, enabling the group to meet its contractual obligations despite the expected loss.

The company reiterated its focus on the proposed transaction involving Create Technologies and said it will provide further updates at the appropriate time in compliance with listing rules.

Further details of the group’s financial performance will be disclosed when AVI-Tech releases its unaudited financial results for 1H2026.

The company advised shareholders and investors to exercise caution when dealing in its shares pending the results announcement.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
