SGX to add metal product offerings

The bourse is said to be hoping to take advantage of the global regulatory move to push as many over-the-counter derivatives through central clearing as possible.

SGX plans to add another three contracts to its existing copper, aluminum and zinc futures being offered in partnership with the London Metal Exchange.

Chief Executive Magnus Bocker said they see quite a careful take-up on those kinds of products.
