SBF opens Bengaluru enterprise centre to support firms’ India expansion
The centre to engage 470 companies through advisory and missions
The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) opened its fourth Singapore Enterprise Centre (SEC) in Bengaluru to support Singapore companies expanding into India.
The centre, launched under the GlobalConnect SBF initiative with Enterprise Singapore, will provide market advisory, business matching and in-market operational support.
SBF expects SEC Bengaluru to engage more than 470 companies over the next two years through missions, roundtables and capability programmes.
Business enquiries to SBF on India increased from 2023 to 2025, reinforcing India’s role as a key destination for Singapore firms, the SBF said.
The launch was officiated by Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry Gan Siow Huang, India’s Labour and Employment and MSME Minister Shobha Karandlage, and Karnataka’s Minister for Electronics, IT and Biotechnology Priyank M. Kharge.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between LAC Global and JVKM India (Mitraa Wellness) to expand Singapore’s health and wellness activities in India.
SEC Bengaluru will be supported by SBF market advisors and local service providers to help firms navigate regulatory requirements and utilise agreements such as AIFTA and CECA. A new India Business Committee chaired by Prasoon Mukherjee will support the centre’s engagement and enterprise outreach across India.
