Singapore office rents grew 10.9% in 3Q10

Singapore was ranked 4th in terms of Grade A rental performance and considered the best in Asia Pacific alongside with Beijing. In the survey conducted by the Jones Land LaSalle on regional office rents, Singapore recorded a quarterly net effective rental growth of 10.9%. This helped increase the Asia Pacific Office Rental index by 1.8% in the third quarter.

The survey measures a city’s average net effective rent which also aims to reflect the net rental income receivable by property investors. In 3Q10, landlords in Singapore were able to receive an average rate of USD 671 per square meter per annum.

The average Prime Grade A gross effective rent in 3Q10 reached $8.70 per square foot of NLA per month. This surpassed one of its peak levels in the year 2000 and is still expected to grow further by the end of the year.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
