Singapore's $217bn dollar win

Foreign investment in Singapore surged 41% from 2005 to 2009 to total $533 billion by 2009.

In the annual report, entitled 'Foreign Equity Investment in Singapore', data show that the country’s FEI of $316 billion back in 2005 increased to $533 billion in 2009.

Singapore's strategic location at the main crossroads of the world, together with its outstanding reputation and strong economic standing has made it one of the top countries that attract the most foreign investments in the region.
