Temasek invests in $137m water impact fund

It will invest in early to expansion stage companies in the water space.

Investment firm Emerald Technology Ventures has secured approximately $136.7m (US$100m) for its water impact fund with Temasek joining a list of investors that include Microsoft; water, hygiene, and infection solutions provider Ecolab; and water tech company SKionWater.

The fund will invest in early to expansion-stage companies globally to drive critical innovation and its adoption in the water space, the investment firm said.

It also aims to support the development of technologies that address issues  as  expressed  within  the  UN  Sustainable  Development  Goals,  including  conserving  water resources, supporting solutions for sustainable, resilient cities, improving resource efficiency, adapting to climate change, reducing health risks and stimulating innovation & economic growth.
