HSBC clinches Citi banker to head int’l wealth hub in Singapore

Chin brings 22 years of experience in wealth management and retail banking.

HSBC has appointed Jil Chin as head of international wealth hub for Singapore. Chin joined the bank on 6 January 2025.

Chin brings 22 years of experience in wealth management and retail banking in the role. She was most recently Citigold & Citigold Private Client Banking director for wealth management at Citibank Singapore.

As head of international wealth hub for HSBC Singapore, Chin is tasked with scaling the bank’s offshore business through new client growth, deepening client relationships, and fostering stronger cross-border collaboration.

Chin’s appointment is part of HSBC Singapore’s goal to become the leading international bank for both onshore and offshore clients across the wealth continuum.

Ashmita Acharya, head of international wealth and premier banking in the city, noted that Singapore has one of the fastest retail offshore AUM growth globally.

“I am delighted to have Jil on board to lead the business in capturing these growth opportunities,” Acharya said.
