Jardine Matheson buys remaining Mandarin Oriental shares after OCB sale

Mandarin Oriental shareholders will receive $0.77 per share dividend.

Jardine Matheson International Ltd. will officially take control of Mandarin Oriental International Ltd. as its subsidiary Jardine Strategic Limited (Bidco), acquires the remaining 11.96% of the hospitality group’s shares.

Shareholders of Mandarin Oriental are set to get money for their shares after the cash acquisition.

Alibaba Group and Ant Group – companies that are buying part of a building called One Causeway Bay (OCB).

Part of the transaction is the sale of part of Mandarin Oriental’s One Causeway Bay property to Alibaba and Ant that include the top 13 floors, rooftop signage, and 50 parking spaces.

The acquisition by Jardine can only happen after this building sale is complete.

Shareholders of Mandarin Oriental will get $0.77 (US$0.60) per share as a special dividend from the OCB Sale.

The payment date is set at 22 January 2026, pending the court sanction hearing, with dividends paid in GBP for UK shareholders while Singapore shareholders get SGD if they opted into currency conversion; otherwise, USD.
