MTI announces board changes at EDB, EnterpriseSG, and JTC

The changes include the re-appointment of the EDB and EnterpriseSG chairmen and a new JTC board member.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry has announced board changes at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore, and JTC Corporation, effective 1 May 2026.

MTI will reappoint Png Cheong Boon, chairman of the Singapore Economic Development Board, to the EDB board.

It will also reappoint Lee Chuan Teck, chairman of Enterprise Singapore, to the EnterpriseSG board.

For JTC Corporation, MTI will appoint Lau Boon Ping, Deputy Secretary for Land, Communications, and Technology at the Ministry of Transport, as a new board member.

Lau began his career with the Singapore Armed Forces in 1999 and held command and staff appointments in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, where he attained the rank of Brigadier General.

He also served in roles at the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Defence, and Workforce Singapore.

At the Ministry of Transport, Lau oversees national policies related to public transport and private/shared mobility, as well as technology strategies and policy.
