Seatrium wins second order for Kingdom 4 jack-up rig

The repeat award brings the LeTourneau Super 116E Class series to its 45th global order.

Seatrium Offshore Technology has secured a repeat contract with International Maritime Industries (IMI) for the supply of equipment and license to build the LeTourneau Super 116E Class Self-Elevating Drilling Unit (SE-MODU), Kingdom 4.

The latest contract follows the Kingdom 3 project earlier this year at the largest shipyard in the MENA region.

The LeTourneau Super 116E Class is one of Seatrium’s next-generation jack-up designs tailored for the MENA region. These rigs feature 343-foot legs, a 1.5-million-pound hook-load capacity, and advanced cyber systems intended for demanding offshore operations.

According to the press release, the Kingdom 4 project further demonstrates IMI’s commitment to Vision 2030 objectives, including technology leadership, sustainability, and local content development.

Seatrium has designed 65% of the jack-up rigs operating in the Middle East.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
