Expect attractive BTO projects in November: PropNex

Over 9,500 units will be offered in three locations.

Unsuccessful applicants in the previous HDB build-to-order (BTO) exercise will expect attractive projects in November 2022, property expert, PropNex, said.

In its analysis, PropNex Realty CEO Ismail Gafoor said over 9,500 units will be offered in several attractive locations, including three in Queenstown (Dover, Alexandra, Ghim Moh) and another in Kallang.

“Given the attractive locations of the projects in the November line-up, we may see an even larger turn-out of applicants,” said Gafoor.

Meanwhile, in the August 2022 BTO exercise, there are more first-timers going for the project in Tampines, which has the shortest waiting time.

“This perhaps indicates that some first-timers are prioritising getting the keys to their home as soon as possible, rather than the prospect of landing a flat in more central locations,” said Gafoor.

In August, the HDB revealed that almost 5,000 new flats were on sale, which were closed on 5 September.

It received “overwhelming interest” for the non-Prime Location Public Housing BTO projects in mature estates, specifically in Tampines and Ang Mo Kio.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
