HDB rents increase by 0.6% MoM in March
Across room types, 5 Room recorded the highest rent increase.
HDB rents rose by 0.6% MoM and 8.2% YoY in March, according to data from 99.co and SRX.
Rents climbed in non-mature estates (+0.7% MoM, +8.9% YoY) and mature estates (+0.6% MoM, 7.5% YoY).
All room types recorded MoM rent increases in March, led by 5 Room (+1.5%), Executives (1.3%), 3 Room (+0.8%), and 4 Room (0.3%).
Rental volumes also rose in March by 9.8% MoM to 2,689 HDB flats. Year-on-year, however, volumes fell by 12.1%.
The latest record was 11.0% lower than the five-year average volume for March.
Of the total volume, 33.6% was from 3 Room, 36.3% from 4 Room, 24.5% from 5 Room and 5.7% from Executive.
