HDB resale prices hit 18-month low in December

Prices dropped by another 0.5%.

According to SRX Flash Report, overall HDB resale prices slipped another 0.5% in December, reaching an 18-month low since July 2012.

According to flash estimates, 908 HDB flats were sold in December's resale market, a 9.6% drop from November's 1,004 resale cases. This drop could be due to seasonal factors.

An estimated 1,364 HDB flats were rented in December 2013. This volume is comparable to November's 1,358 rental transactions.

HDB rent prices continue slide. HDB median rents slipped another 2.1% to reach $2,300, marking the second consecutive monthly drop in rental prices.
