New private home sales plunged 35% in January

Find out the bestselling project last month.

Developers sold a total of 372 private non-landed homes in January, down 35% from 572 units sold in the same month last year.

Data released today by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) showed that new home sales jumped 61% on a month-on-month basis.

Including Executive Condominiums, developers sold a total of 556 units.

January's bestselling project was The Amore, an EX development in Edgedale Plains. The project sold 83 units last month for a median price of $795 psf.

Symphony Suites, a condo in Yishun Close, came in as a far second with 54 units sold for a median price of $1,010 psf.
