NTUC FairPrice temporarily closes Bedok Mall store

Staff were put on leave after one of the employees was diagnosed with COVID-19.

NTUC FairPrice is temporarily closing its Finest store at Bedok Mall from 1 to 3 April for deep cleaning procedures after one of its employees was diagnosed with COVID-19, according to a press release.

Following the Ministry of Health’s guidelines, the staff has been quarantined and is being monitored by medical personnel whilst all staff who work in that store have been put on leave of absence.

The company noted that the affected staff works in the backend replenishing stock and has minimal contact with customers. The employee was last at work on 25 March and was on leave on 26 March. The employee has since been on medical leave.
