The Straits Times Index (STI) closed at 4,849.100, up 0.33% on Friday, 16 January, at 5:21 p.m.

City Developments Limited (+2.35%) was the most active stock, followed by Sembcorp Industries Ltd (+2.34%) and Keppel Ltd. (+1.02).
