SingTel’s net profit up 4.5% to $939m in Q4

Thanks to strong contributions from associates.

SingTel reported that its net profit grew 4.5% to $939m in the fourth quarterm driven by strong earnings growth from its associates.

Post-tax contributions from its associates rose 23% thanks to high contributions from Airtel India, Telkomsel and Globe.

Operating revenue grew 5.1% to $4.34b. The group declared a basic earnings per sharee of 5.89 cents in Q4, 4.4% higher than its EPS of 5.64 cents in the same period last year.
