SP Mobility launches Singapore’s first EV fast charging site in Tengah

It features eight 100kW DC fast charging points next to Plantation Plaza.

SP Mobility, part of SP Group, has launched Singapore’s first electric vehicle (EV) fast charging hub at a Housing and Development Board (HDB) carpark in Tengah.

The charging facility comprises eight direct current (DC) fast charging points of up to 100 kilowatts (kW) and six alternating current charging points at 7.4 kW each.

The site is located at the HDB carpark serving residential Blocks 123 and 129 beside Plantation Plaza, Tengah’s first neighbourhood mall.

Meanwhile, the group said it will deploy additional hubs across HDB estates in Bedok North Avenue 3, Teck Whye Lane, Pipit Road in Macpherson, Jurong East Street 31, Tampines Street 34, Woodlands Street 13, Bukit Canberra, and Jurong West Sports Centres.

The deployments will be rolled out progressively from early 2027, it added.

SP launched Tengah’s first public EV chargers in February 2025 and plans to expand charging infrastructure across additional Tengah precincts, including more DC charging points in new carparks where power infrastructure is available.

As of December last year, over 14,000 flats have been completed, with more than 12,000 homeowners having collected their keys.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
