Sembcorp completes sale of interest in SembEnviro

It was sold to an Indonesian company.

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) has completed the sale of its entire issued and paid-up share capital of Sembcorp Environment Pte. Ltd. (SembEnviro) to SBT Investment 2 Pte. Ltd. (SBT Investment 2).

In a bourse filing, Sembcorp said SBT Investment 2 is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indonesia-based PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk.

In November 2024, Sembcorp announced the execution of a share purchase agreement about the transaction.

The sale was completed on 18 March. As of the said date, Sembcorp has transferred the ownership of SembEnviro and its subsidiaries to SBT Investment 2.

Sembcorp said it will provide up to 18 months of support services to SembEnviro and its subsidiaries. It will also allow limited use of the SembEnviro name and its trademarks during the transitional period.
