Koon Holdings names Ang Sin Liu as Director
The Nomination Committee deemed that his appointment will strengthen the effectiveness of the Board.
The Board of Koon Holdings announced the appointment of Ang Sin Liu as Non-Executive Director and Chairman.
The Nomination Committee, on request of Mr Ang, a former controlling shareholder, who is related to the Company's current controlling shareholder, and after evaluating Mr Ang's qualifications and work experience, considered that his appointment will strengthen the effectiveness of the Board and had recommended the appointment of Mr Ang as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. The Board has accepted the recommendation of the Nomination Committee and approved his appointment, according to a Koon Holdings report.
Mr Ang, 76, was Group Advisor of ASL Marine Holdings Ltd. He was also Director of Ang Sin Liu Construction (Pte) Ltd. since 29 November 1982, Ang Sin Liu Metals Pte Ltd since 18 September 1991, Sintech Metal Industries Pte. Ltd. since 7 November 2003, Sintech Recycling Pte. Ltd. since 25 February 2009, ASL Shipyard Pte Ltd from 23 July 1992 to 25 September 2002, ASL Offshore & Marine Pte. Ltd. from 2 December 1995 to 25 September 2002, and ASL Marine Holdings Ltd. from 12 October 2000 to 25 September 2002.
