China Aviation Oil appoints Jean Teo Lang Lang as Chief Operating Officer

Teo was a senior trader of distillates products at Cargill International and Lead Trader of Light Distillates at BP Singapore.

China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corporation Ltd (“CAO”), the largest physical jet fuel trader in the Asia Pacific region, wishes to announce the appointment of Ms Jean Teo Lang Lang as Chief Operating Officer of CAO from 1 November 2011.

In this newly created position, Ms Teo will be responsible for the development and execution of trading growth strategies and performance targets for all trading businesses of CAO, which currently includes jet fuel, gas oil, fuel oil and petrochemical products. Her responsibilities will also include assisting the CEO to identify investment projects or new businesses in line with CAO’s growth strategy. Ms Teo will report to the Chief Executive Officer of CAO.

Ms Teo has more than 10 years of experience in the oil trading industry. Prior to joining CAO, she was a senior trader of distillates products at Cargill International Pte Ltd. Prior to this, Ms Teo was an employee of BP Singapore Pte. Ltd from July 1997 to September 2010 (“BPS”), where she was seconded to the position of Head of Trading of CAO from January 2008 to August 2010. Other positions that Ms Teo had held in BPS included the Lead Trader of Light Distillates.

Mr Meng Fanqiu, Chief Executive Officer of CAO said, “We welcome Jean and look forward to her contribution to the growth of CAO. Jean’s experience and track record in the oil trading market will significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the CAO Group and strengthen our ability to identify and deliver growth opportunities in line with our corporate strategy and shareholders’ objectives. I believe she will play an instrumental role in CAO achieving its strategic goals for 2014.”

Ms Teo holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Engineering, Chemical (Honours) from National University of Singapore.
