Challenger Technologies names Tan Huat Ben as Chief Operating Officer

He was responsible for over US$500 million in Microsoft Asia Pacific's revenue for four business units in over nine countries.

The Board of Challenger Technologies announced the appointment of Tan Huat Ben as Chief Operating Officer effective 1 October 2012.

Mr Tan, 44, will be responsible for merchandising, corporate sales, marketing and retail operations of the Group, according to a Challenger Technologies report.

He has been a General Manager of Retail Sales and Marketing in Microsoft (APAC) from July 2011 to the present. Before this he was Senior Regional Director of Entertainment and Devices Division in Microsoft (Southeast Asia and Korea) from January 2004 to June 2011 and Business Group Lead of Microsoft (Singapore) from November 2000 to January 2004.
