HDB rents down 0.9% in November

HDB 3 Rooms saw the biggest rent decline at 1.6%.

Rents in Housing Development Board flats have seen a slight decrease of 0.9% in November from October, as rental volume recorded a decline of 1.3%.

According to SRX Property Index, rents in HDB 3 Rooms, HDB 4 Rooms and HDB 5 Rooms decreased by 1.6%, 0.5% and 1.1% respectively. On the other hand, HDB Executive increased by 0.8%.

Overall, rents in November were down 4.6% from a year ago, and 12.6% lower than its peak in August 2013.

In terms of rental volume, an estimated 1,747 HDB flats were rented in November a 1.3% decrease from 1,770 units rented in October.

On a yearly basis, rental volume this month decreased by 7.3% from a year ago.
