ST Aerospace inks MOU with CAAS

Both aim to develop new unmanned aircraft system operations in Singapore.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) announced that it has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ST Aerospace to develop new concepts, procedures, and technologies that will enable Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operations in Singapore.

Under the signed MOU, ST Aerospace will provide technical services for system integration and prototyping in the identified areas of interest, as well as assist CAAS in developing safety regulatory oversight framework for BVLOS UAS operations, whilst.

To date, CAAS and ST Aerospace have already identified UAS applications across maritime, aviation, construction, security and public safety sectors.
