Central Singapore CDC, e2i to expand nearby job support

The district will hold 10 career fairs with 3000 employment opportunities.

Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC) and NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) will roll out at least 10 Career & Skills Fairs from July 2026 to December 2027.

The fairs, spread out across constituencies in the Central Singapore district, will be supported by an initial pool of more than 3,000 nearby job opportunities.

The partnership expands Jobs Nearby @ Central, building on the national Jobs Nearby @ CDC initiative.

Residents will be able to access employment support through CDC Job Ambassadors, the Jobs Nearby portal and kiosks, community job clinics, and e2i career centres.

The portal, developed by e2i, will feature more than 2,000 nearby job opportunities. Residents will also be able to access job openings from the institute’s national employer network.

Central Singapore CDC will also offer up to 1,000 complimentary learning spots for the district’s residents.

The workshops range from introductory artificial intelligence awareness to advanced practical workplace applications, digital skills, and career development.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
