Another smooth route: SilkAir flies to Hangzhou

This is the regional carrier’s 8th Chinese destination.

SilkAir confirms that China is an important market, and launching another destination means that the carrier sees potential growth in the country.

Flight MI918, the maiden flight to Hangzhou, departed Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 at 10:00 today, and is scheduled to arrive in Hangzhou’s Xiaoshan International Airport at 3:20. The return flight, MI917 will depart Hangzhou at 4:20, and is scheduled to reach Singapore at 9:25.

The 48th SilkAir destination in SilkAir’s network, Hangzhou’s famous tourist attraction is West Lake, where popular attractions such as Lingyin Temple and Six Harmonies Pagoda can be found. Hangzhou is also famous for its Longjing or Dragon Well Green tea, and boasts acres of lush tea fields growing some of the finest grades of this tea.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
