SIA to launch daily Hangzhou flights from 1 June

Route expands mainland China network to nine destinations.

Singapore Airlines will launch daily services between Singapore and Hangzhou from 1 June, expanding its mainland China network and strengthening access to the Yangtze River Delta market.

The airline said Hangzhou will become its ninth destination in mainland China. Together with Scoot, the SIA Group will serve 22 destinations in the market from that date.

SIA will operate the route with the medium-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900, configured with 303 seats, including 40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class.

The inaugural SQ838 flight is scheduled to leave Singapore at 5:40 pm on 1 June and arrive in Hangzhou at 10:50 pm the same day. The return SQ839 service will depart Hangzhou at 12:10 am on 2 June and land in Singapore at 5:10 am.

SIA said the new daily service will complement Scoot’s existing daily Hangzhou flights and offer more options for both leisure and business travellers. Tickets will be progressively made available for sale from 23 March through the airline’s distribution channels.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
