SIA launches Madrid route and reduces Munich flights
It is also increasing flight frequency to Manchester, London Gatwick, and Milan.
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is launching a Barcelona-Madrid route, reducing weekly flights to Munich, and increasing flights to three other cities in Europe.
SIA said that it will progressively increase the frequencies of flights between Singapore and Manchester (UK), Milan (Italy), and London Gatwick (UK) in the coming months.
SIA will also launch a five-times-weekly service to Madrid via Barcelona beginning 26 October 2026. This makes Madrid SIA’s 15th destination in Europe, and its second in Spain.
It will restructure its current twice-weekly Singapore-Barcelona services, SQ388 and SQ387, to operate on the route.
As a trade-off, SIA will cease its Milan-Barcelona flights from 27 October.
The Singapore-Milan services, SQ356 and SQ355, will increase to daily beginning 25 October.
The Singapore-Manchester service, SQ302 and SQ301, will increase to daily from the previous five times a week frequently beginning 13 July.
The Singapore-London Gatwick service, SQ314 and SQ313, will increase to daily as well starting 25 October. After this Singapore will have six flights going to London every day, including the four daily services to Heathrow Airport.
Meanwhile, SIA is reducing its flights to Munich from daily to three times a week. The new Singapore-Munich service, SQ340 and SQ339, will launch on 26 October.
