Tigerair completes 40% stake sale of Philippines arm

Cebu Pacific to take over.

According to OCBC Investment Research, Tiger Airways Holdings (TR) announced today that it has completed the sale of its entire 40% stake in Southeast Asian Airlines (SEAir), which has been operated as Tigerair Philippines (TRP), to Cebu Pacific.

Tigerair Philippines will continue to operate under the Tigerair brand for the time being. The long term partnership between TR and Cebu Pacific will enable Tigerair to tap on Cebu Pacific’s extensive network in the Philippines and North Asia, while Cebu Pacific will be able to extend their network to include Australia and India.
