Surbana Jurong to digitalise quantity surveying and cost management

It partnered with digital tech firm Glodon to expand the adoption of 5D Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Surbana Jurong has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with digital tech firm Glodon to work on developing advanced digital capabilities of quantity surveying and cost management in the construction industry.

The two firms look to expand the adoption 5D Building Information Modelling (BIM), which supports the effective quantification of construction materials based on models constructed in the BIM environment.

Under the MOU, Surbana Jurong and Glodon will also focus on test bedding a BIM payment feature using a proprietary measurement software.
