SEC grants GreenDNA certification to 12 firms

Amongst the recipients were DBS, ComfortDelGro, and Grand Hyatt Singapore.

The Singapore Environment Council (SEC) awarded 12 organisations with the GreenDNA certification at the GreenDNA Certification Launch cum Award Presentation Ceremony on 13 January.

The recipients hailed from many industries, including banking, business services, consumer, construction, F&B, hospitality, property, and transport.

The 12 awardees are SBS Transit, Grand Hyatt Singapore, Procter & Gamble (Singapore), Arcadis Singapore, Office Planner, DBS, Frasers Property Aquamarine Trustee, DTC World Corporation, ComfortDelGro Corporation, Frog’ys, CDL, and Jim & Hall’s.

Founded on SEC’s eco certification and green label programmes, the GreenDNA is a system which helps organisations optimise resources, lower carbon emissions, and achieve climate-related goals. “Holders of the GreenDNA certification attained an added edge as they transform their business and organisational practices, mind sets and actions tuned to a sustainability agenda,” the SEC said.

“Collectively, the 12 companies have committed to reduce their current baseline of 0.138 million tonnes CO2e by 10%,” said SEC chair Isabella Huang-Loh.

The certificates were awarded by the event’s guest-of-honor Grace Fu, minister for sustainability and the environment of Singapore. According to a statement, the ceremony “marks what could be the start of a new wave of companies and businesses seeking to be future ready to take advantage of an emerging green economy.”

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
