Avanade wins at Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards 2025 for regional initiatives

The company’s APAC team was celebrated for advancing midmarket growth and a character-based inclusion initiative.

Avanade won in two categories at the Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards 2025: Team of the Year - Technology and Diversity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year - Technology. The honours recognise the company’s regional leadership in digital transformation and its workplace culture programme promoting inclusion across Southeast Asia.

Accelerating midmarket growth through innovation

Avanade’s Asia Pacific team was recognised in the Team of the Year -Technology category for its focus on helping midmarket enterprises modernise and achieve measurable results. In FY25, the team deployed Microsoft-powered solutions that combined local insight with regional coordination to improve business outcomes.

The company established the APAC Digital and Innovation Hub in Malaysia, bringing together more than 40 specialists in AI, business applications, and consulting. The Hub enables faster technology adoption and collaboration with clients. Avanade also expanded operations in Indonesia and strengthened its regional delivery through the acquisition of Singapore-based Total eBiz Solutions, adding over 200 professionals with expertise in AI, cloud, and automation.

These efforts delivered double-digit revenue growth, a doubling of new client acquisitions in Asia Pacific, and a 10% improvement in client experience scores. “Midmarket organisations in APAC are ambitious and ready to grow, but they need solutions that deliver value fast,” said Bhavya Kapoor, President, Avanade APAC. “From pre-packaged solutions to our Digital Hub, Indonesia expansion, and strategic acquisition, Avanade APAC delivers impact where it matters most, and that is why our team deserves to be Team of the Year.”

Bringing inclusion to life through storytelling

Avanade was also honoured in the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year category for its campaign Bringing Inclusion to Life: A Storytelling Approach to Diversity. The initiative engaged more than 860 employees across 22 nationalities through four characters named Receptive Ryan, Mindful Mahi, Communicative Camila, and Online Olivia. Each represented a specific inclusive workplace behaviour that employees could apply in daily interactions.

The campaign promoted awareness of inclusion and encouraged open discussions about communication, bias, and collaboration. “Arun Nagarajan and the team developed an exceptionally creative approach to engage employees on complex inclusion and diversity topics. This initiative is truly pioneering and sets a new benchmark for how we communicate I&D within the organisation,” said Deepa Arjan, Global Inclusion and Diversity Lead for Avanade.

The Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards honours visionary executives, innovators, and high-performing teams, as well as initiatives that champion diversity, inclusion, employee engagement, and workplace well-being.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
