FUJIFILM Business Innovation Singapore recognised at Singapore Business Review International Business Awards 2025
Its Asset Inspection and Management System (AIMS) streamlines airport maintenance operations.
FUJIFILM Business Innovation Singapore was honoured for transforming Changi Airport Group’s (CAG) maintenance operations with its innovative Asset Inspection and Management System (AIMS), designed and curated by CAG’s Engineering Development Group (E&D) Innovation & Process Enhancement (IPE) team over a six-year journey. This was a win-win collaboration, where the E&D IPE team used their subject matter knowledge of CAG’s operations to jointly develop an “all-in-one” Asset Management digital tool with FBSG.
FUJIFILM Business Innovation Singapore won the IT Services accolade at the Singapore Business Review (SBR) International Business Awards 2025 after it successfully streamlined operations for CAG’s E&D team through the use of AIMS.
The newly implemented solution automates the scheduling process for over 1000 staff and contractors, enabling smoother tasks assignment to ensure seamless airport maintenance with minimal administrative effort.
Changi Airport, widely regarded as one of the world’s best airports, served more than 67.7 million passengers in 2024. The E&D plays a crucial role in maintaining the airport’s infrastructure, from airfield lighting to baggage handling systems, ensuring operations at the airport run smoothly around the clock.
One of E&D’s key operations is managing up to 2,000 maintenance and inspection tasks per day, with different tasks scheduled around the clock. With a centralised scheduling portal, it improved the efficiency of planning tasks across shifts whilst balancing each team’s needs.
The user-friendly system features a real-time job scheduling collaboration portal, allowing planners to assign tasks online with ease. Automated notifications and updates ensure efficient communication, whilst the system’s integration with GPS and geofencing technology ensures tasks are executed with accuracy.
With AIMS, job assignments have become more streamlined, and staff can easily view updated schedules online.
In addition, maintenance results are captured digitally with the new mobile application, complete with before-and-after photos. This shift from paper-based processes has reduced time-consuming manual data entry and the risk of human errors. Beyond operational gains, the solution has had a positive impact on employee experience.
FUJIFILM Business Innovation Singapore’s ability to rapidly assess and deliver efficient solutions in partnership with E&D IPE has helped to enhance the operations of one of the busiest airports in the world.
Mr Wee Tee Hsien, CEO, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Singapore, said, "We are driven by a passion for innovation that delivers real-world impact. By optimising business operations with our advanced solutions, we have demonstrated how technology can enhance efficiency, improve workforce coordination, and redefine operational excellence.
