Mentor Media wins at Singapore Business Review National Business Awards 2026 for RFID-based inventory system

The RCS by Mentor Media provided healthcare institutions with confidence in their medical devices’ quality and safety.

Global supply chain specialist, Mentor Media, took home the win in the Supply Chain Technology Category for their RFID Chamber Solution (RCS) at the Singapore Business Review National Business Awards 2026. The accolade celebrates innovation as an important catalyst in facilitating meaningful medical advances in the healthcare ecosystem. Mentor Media’s innovative inventory solution provides full visibility of surgical medical devices, which are distributed to hospitals island-wide. This ensures operational readiness for time-sensitive surgeries whilst assuring safety and quality standards for patients.

Reducing the manual 2-hour reconciliation process to just 5 seconds, RCS replaces tedious manual counting with an automated system capable of accurately identifying more than 200 medical devices in an operating theatre bag. The scan detects missing, incorrect or expired surgical items to allow for easy replenishment. This boosted improvements in warehouse replenishment efficiency, which saw a 27.7% substantial increase.

The shift from manual record-keeping to an automated process has enabled real-time visibility on consumption patterns, product batches, and quality standards, allowing better inventory planning and forecasting.

This initiative has delivered significant savings by reducing administrative burdens, optimising manpower during inventory replenishment, and ensuring faster turnaround times for hospital orders. With these meaningful improvements, Mentor Media has set a new benchmark for efficiency and transparency in healthcare logistics.
