PSB Academy wins at Singapore Business Review National Business Awards 2026 for newest campus opening
The institution’s establishment at the Cathay reinforces its deliberate positioning of education within Singapore’s business and cultural districts.
Private education institution PSB Academy emerged as the recipient of the Education category in the Singapore Business Review National Business Awards 2026 for extending its city-centric approach to education and creating a future-ready learning environment in the heart of Singapore with the launch of its newest Cathay Campus.
Located across levels 5 and 6 of The Cathay, the campus spans 43,000 square feet, increasing PSB Academy’s total campus space by 18%. This also marks PSB Academy’s third campus, complementing its existing locations at Marina Square and reinforcing its strategy of situating education within Singapore’s key business and cultural districts.
The new campus takes on a modern approach to learning environments, emphasising both sustainability and collaboration. Designed using biophilic principles, the space incorporates natural elements and eco-friendly materials such as wood wool acoustic panels to create a calm and conducive atmosphere for learning.
Greenery and open areas are also integrated throughout the campus, encouraging interaction and collaboration, building a sense of community amongst students. At the centre of the campus is the Hub, a large, open gathering space equipped with a prominent screen, serving as a focal point for events and communal activities.
To enhance the learning experience and scale up for different class sizes, it also features flexible classroom layouts that can be configured to suit different needs.
The classrooms are equipped with motion-tracking camera technology, which is a first for PSB Academy. These cameras follow speakers as they move, enhancing both in-person and remote learning by creating a more immersive and interactive experience. This combination of thoughtful design and advanced technology ensures that students are equipped with a learning space that meets both academic standards and the evolving demands of students.
For PSB Academy, the opening launch was a major brand milestone. Besides reinforcing its identity as “Asia’s Future Academy”, it also highlighted new academic and industry partnerships, supported by a coordinated PR-driven media strategy for strong visibility.
Amongst these partnerships are the agreement with Coventry University and a tripartite partnership with Coventry University and COSEM. These support the launch of a new paramedicine programme, developed with COSEM and the Singapore Civil Defence Force to address the growing need for emergency responders.
“Winning this award is an affirmation of the direction we’re taking, and it also challenges us to keep evolving. Our focus has always been on preparing our students for the digitally driven economy, and we will continue to do so by equipping them with the skills, mindset and tools that will help them stay relevant and succeed in a fast-changing world. We will also keep expanding our international collaborations and updating our programme offerings, so that students benefit from globally recognised pathways that are still grounded in local industry needs,” the institution said.
