Resulticks wins at Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2026

It transformed customer interactions into data-driven engagement whilst linking campaigns to traveller behaviour.

Resulticks won Big Data - Transportation and Software - Travel Services in the Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2026 for the 360° Passenger Journey Engagement Program for Indonesia’s central rail network and its work building a real-world attribution and traveler intelligence framework for a major global aviation hub.

Unified engagement and data-driven insights

The Big Data - Transportation category win is in recognition of the 360° Passenger Journey Engagement Program, which transforms fragmented passenger communications into a unified, lifecycle-driven engagement model operating at a national scale.
Serving millions of passengers across long-distance and commuter routes, Indonesia’s national railway deals with passengers with highly variable travel intent and frequency. Despite strong adoption of the mobile application, passenger engagement across the journey lifecycle was fragmented across multiple touchpoints.

The 360° Passenger Journey Engagement Program sought to engage passengers consistently across their entire travel journey, recover high-intent users and reduce abandonment across booking journeys, re-engage inactive passengers and drive repeat travel, identify and strengthen loyalty amongst frequent travellers, capture actionable passenger insights in a structured and scalable manner, and enable accurate measurement, including offline conversion attribution.

To enable a unified passenger engagement capability, the organisation implemented the RESUL Customer Data Platform (CDP) as the core technical foundation.

RESUL Smart Links were embedded across all passenger communications, ensuring each interaction was instrumented for engagement tracking and identity continuity.

Within the mobile application, the RESUL SDK was embedded as a core integration layer. A unique Platform App ID was generated and embedded within the mobile application (APK), establishing a persistent connection between the app and the RESUL platform. This enabled real-time user identification, in-app event tracking, and trigger activation.

All engagement and behavioural data captured via RESUL Smart Links and the RESUL SDK were continuously ingested into the RESUL Customer Data Platform (CDP), creating a unified, real-time passenger profile that supported segmentation, orchestration, and measurement.

The implementation delivered measurable, enterprise-scale business impact across the organisation’s passenger engagement ecosystem. They established a unified single view of over 20 million passengers, achieving 93% profile completeness, providing a continuously enriched foundation for understanding passenger behaviour at a national scale.

Sustained mobile engagement was also enabled through the embedded RESUL SDK, supporting over 10 million total mobile app installations.

Comprehensive in-app event tracking delivered full journey visibility as well, including 573,000 search events, 95,600 booking events, and 28,600 cancellation events. This enabled precise identification of passenger intent.
Through RESUL’s robust customer data foundation, KAI translated platform capabilities into measurable business value.

Connecting digital campaigns to real-world airport journeys

This initiative enabled the airport to link digital advertising exposure directly to physical airport arrivals, providing measurable insights into traveller behaviour that were previously unavailable. Using Resulticks Smart Duo, which combines Smart Link and SDK capabilities, the airport could identify over 2.7 million travellers who were not visible in prior measurement frameworks. This approach removed reliance on app installs or forced identification and allowed marketing teams to measure real-world outcomes rather than proxy digital metrics.

The project addressed a long-standing challenge for the airport, which handles close to 70 million passengers annually and runs extensive advertising campaigns across Southeast Asia and other international markets. Historically, marketing performance was measured using impressions and clicks, with no reliable way to assess whether advertising exposure translated into physical footfall. By implementing Resulticks’ end-to-end attribution framework, the airport gained the ability to attribute visits directly to specific campaigns and communications, significantly improving marketing decision-making and confidence in advertising investments.

Every advertisement and communication in the campaigns was embedded with a Resulticks Smart Link, capturing privacy-safe device identifiers. When travellers later visited the airport website or connected to airport Wi-Fi, the Resulticks SDK validated and matched these identifiers. This continuous journey stitching allowed the airport to track both anonymous and known travellers across digital and physical touchpoints, enabling outcome-based measurement at scale.

The framework was deployed in around two weeks without disrupting airport operations, delivering immediate value whilst establishing a scalable foundation for long-term traveller intelligence. Beyond attribution, the system supports ongoing data enrichment, enabling segmentation based on travel patterns, visit frequency, retail and F&B transactions, and parking usage. This positions the airport operator to activate highly personalised, data-driven engagement and optimise the overall traveller experience.
