Singtel lauded at SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for tech innovations

It won the Enterprise Software – Telecommunications Award for its Unified Platform and the Data Centre - Telecommunications Award for its NewHome programme.

Singtel was awarded with two major accolades at the prestigious SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for its Unified Platform that has revolutionised customer experience by consolidating services into a single self-service portal, as well as its NewHome programme involving the establishment of a hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure.

Singtel’s Unified Platform, which led the Enterprise Software - Telecommunications category, integrates advanced technologies to deliver seamless and consistent experiences across all touchpoints. It has consolidated 8 out of 14 customer digital portals into the Empower portal, enabling customers to self-serve and helping companies accelerate their digital transformation goals.

The application stands out for its ability to provide a frictionless experience for customers. By consolidating transaction statuses and insights into one intuitive interface, customers benefit from greater transparency and accessibility. The platform’s AI-driven recommendations also personalise the customer experience, enabling tailored suggestions in the marketplace. Its Agent Assist Mode has also enhanced service manager productivity, whilst the self-serve capabilities have empowered customers to manage their needs independently.

Furthermore, it pioneers operations with reusable components, reducing redundant coding and expediting development cycles. This has significantly lowered development and maintenance costs, allowing Singtel to allocate resources toward further innovation and growth initiatives.

The company sees opportunities for future expansion, including scaling its AI capabilities to offer even more sophisticated, real-time customer insights, enhancing its API-as-a-service function, and extending the platform to new markets.

Separately, Singtel’s NewHome programme won the Data Centre - Telecommunications Award.  Singtel modernised its network’s IT architecture and transformed legacy application infrastructure, from its network to software-defined networking technology, boosting the architecture with enhanced bandwidth for inter-data centre connectivity and internet access. It also executed application migration through technology refreshes, transformational upgrades, and lift-and-shift strategies as required.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
