$7.5m shophouse in Jalan Besar district open for buyers: Savills

A freehold shophouse in Lavender and Jalan Besar district worth $7.5m is on sale through an expression of interest exercise until 21 July at 3 p.m., property firm, Savills, bared.

The 131 Tyrwhitt Road, is about $2,137 per square floor area. It also has a two-storey and attic conservation shophouse with a three-storey rear extension.

It is zoned as residential with commercial at first storey with a plot ratio of 3.0, based on the master plan 2019. To date, fully tenanted, the ground floor has obtained restaurant approval and is also occupied by a popular café. 

Yap Hui Yee, senior director of investment sales and capital markets at Savills, said it is the only shophouse along Tyrwhitt Road that is available for sale, which will attract owner-occupiers, high-net-worth individuals or family offices.

Also, the shophouse experiences high footfall daily because of its walking distance from Bendemeer Mass Rapid Transit station and public car parking.
