The centre seeks to strengthens SG access to US tech, energy and manufacturing
Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) has opened its Austin Overseas Centre to support Singapore companies expanding into the central United States.
In a statement, the agency said the new office will provide market intelligence, business networks and advisory services to help firms enter and scale in the US, particularly in sectors such as technology, energy and advanced manufacturing.
It is EnterpriseSG’s first non-coastal office in the US and its fourth overseas centre in the country, alongside New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The launch was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, together with EnterpriseSG chairman Lee Chuan Teck, Austin mayor Kirk Watson and Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson.
Around 90 representatives from government, academia, investment, innovation and industry groups from Singapore and the US attended the event.
EnterpriseSG said the Austin office will also support collaborations under its Global Innovation Alliance network, which connects Singapore startups and SMEs with overseas partners to test and commercialise solutions in foreign markets.
EnterpriseSG said Texas remains a key market for Singapore companies, citing its large economy, growing population and established base of Singapore businesses in sectors such as logistics, energy, and technology.
It added that Texas was Singapore’s second-largest state-level trading partner in 2025, with bilateral goods trade of about $11.46b (US$9b).
EnterpriseSG also noted that more than 250 Singapore companies are present across close to 90% of US states, reflecting continued expansion of Singapore firms in the US market.
