Woh Hup wins bid for Las Vegas Sands 2030 development project

The Singapore-based firm will lead the next-gen Marina Bay Sands expansion after record 2025 year.

Las Vegas Sands has awarded a multi‑billion‑dollar construction contract to Woh Hup Limited to lead construction of Las Vegas Sands’ next-generation ultra-luxury development, scheduled for completion in 2030, following a competitive tender process, the company said.

Woh Hup was selected for its technical capabilities, track record in complex projects, and experience in engineering and design management.

The appointment comes after a record-breaking year for Marina Bay Sands, the resort operator said. In 2025, Marina Bay Sands generated $2.64b in annual business spending, with 90.8% of procurement directed to Singapore-based enterprises.

Marina Bay Sands also welcomed over 36 million visitors, hosted more than 2,000 MICE events, and received nearly 1.4 million delegates at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in 2025, the company reported.

A recently commissioned Economic Impact Assessment by Enright, Scott & Associates Limited estimated that Marina Bay Sands contributed 1.2% of Singapore’s Gross Domestic Product in 2025.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
