Chemicals sector topped Asia's July manufacturing growth at 54.7

The fields of construction and machinery got dragged into contraction.

Asia's chemicals sector leveled up with the highest manufacturing growth at 54.7 in July, according to Nikkei's Asia Sector.

The growth in the sector has been the highest in over six years, which has brought in a rise in new business inflows.

Based on rankings of the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), healthcare services and beverages and food followed with the highest growth at 54.0 and 53.8, respectively.

Forestry & paper products also reached a seven-month high, whilst transportation hit its highest in two months.

However, other fields ended their growth streak and fell into contraction.

Insurance dropped for the first time since November at 49.3.

Construction and materials ended its ten-month growth with 48.9, whilst machinery halted a nine-month output rise at 46.8.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
