Number of jobless in Japan falls 5.9% in July

The country has 1.9 million unemployed persons.

Japan records a lower amount of unemployed people at 1.9 million, a decrease of 5.9% YoY.

According to the Statistics Bureau, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stayed at 2.8%.

The number of employed persons in the country hit 65.6 million, a jump of 0.9% from last year.

Among the labor force, the number of employed persons increased by 0.9% and employees by 1.7%.

Labor force participation rate rose by 0.5ppt to 60.8%.

Employment rate also increased 0.6ppt to 59.1%.
