Over 80% of large enterprises confident 2026 budget could boost SG's hub status, report says

This exceeds the 56% from SMEs.

Large enterprises reported higher confidence in Singapore Budget 2026’s impact on the city-state’s position as a global and regional hub, with 82% expressing confidence compared with 56% of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), according to a Singapore Business Federation report.

Amongst large firms, 30% answered “strongly agree” and 52% “agree” with the statement, whilst 17% remained neutral and none expressed disagreement.

SMEs showed lower conviction, with 8% responding “strongly agree” and 48% “agree,” the report added.

A larger share—41%—reported a neutral stance, whilst 3% expressed disagreement, including 2% who “disagreed” and 1% who “strongly disagreed.”

Overall, 12% of respondents “strongly agreed” and 49% “agreed,” whilst 36% remained neutral.

A combined 3% expressed disagreement, with 2% selecting “disagree” and 1% “strongly disagree.”
