First session of 12th Parliament begins 10 October

It will start with the election of the Speaker and the swearing-in of 90 Members of the House.

The President will deliver his Opening Address at 8:30 pm of the same day.

In his Address, the President will announce the priorities, policies and programmes of the Government for its five-year term.
