NODX grows 6.9% YoY in September

Total trade rose by 14.9% YoY during the month.

Non-oil domestic exports (NODX) grew by 6.9% year on year in September, after the 11.5% contraction in the previous month, according to Enterprise Singapore.

Electronic NODX expanded by 30.4% with ICs, PCs and disk media products growing by 34.9%, 58.3% and 42.9% respectively.

Meanwhile, non-electronic products grew by 0.4% after the 13.3% contraction in the previous month. Non-monetary gold and specialised machinery rose by 82.7% and 14.1% respectively.

Further, non-oil re-exports (NORX) expanded by 21.2%, extending the 12% growth in the previous month.

Electronic NORX grew by 26.8% whilst non-electronic products increased by 13.3%.

Total trade rose by 14.9% YoY in September, with exports growing by 15%, whilst imports increased by 14.8%.
