LifeBrandz reopens sushi restaurant under subsidiary group

The rebranded Sushi Ayumu retained its operation in Mandarin Gallery.

LifeBrandz welcomed recently closed Hashida Sushi under its subsidiary Cloud Eight, an announcement revealed. The restaurant will be rebranded as Sushi Ayumu but will retain its operation in Mandarin Gallery.

“In Japanese, ‘Ayumu’ means walking towards a new beginning and a new vision. Sushi Ayumu symbolizes a fresh start with immense possibilities,” the restaurant said in a Facebook post.

The restaurant is owned by Hatch Hashida who operates sushi restaurants in Singapore and San Francisco. According to Lifebrandz, Hashida is set to expand his business in Tokyo.

“Our food philosophy is simple. We are returning to traditional Tokyo (Edo) style sushi that focuses on the freshness and flavour of the best ingredients sourced daily from Japanese fishermen and suppliers whom we have nurtured close relationships,” the post noted.

The facebook post added that the rebranded restaurant will be led by Head Chef Ryoichi Nakatani who worked in many top sushi restaurants in Japan for 25 years.
