F&B sales rise 1.2% YoY in April, reversing March drop

In March, sales declined 2.7% YoY.

Food and beverage (F&B) sales grew by 1.2% year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) in April, reversing the 2.7% YoY decline recorded in March.

Sales value clocked in at $947m. Of the total sales value, 25.9% was from online sales.

According to the Department of Statistics Singapore (Singstat), three of the four industries recorded year-on-year sales growth in April, led by Food Caterers, which posted a 19.9 YoY increase.

Cafes, Food Courts, and Other Eating Places and Fast Food Outlets recorded increases of 0.6% YoY and 1.9% YoY, respectively.

Restaurants recorded a 3.7% YoY decline.
