F&B sales rise 1.7% YoY in July
Restaurants remained the only segment to post a decline, down 2.4%.
Singapore’s food and beverage (F&B) services sector saw a modest yet broad-based uptick in July 2025, with total sales reaching $1.0b, according to the Department of Statistics.
Online transactions accounted for 25.9% of all F&B sales, down slightly from 26.8% in June, but up from 23.8% a year earlier.
Year on year, F&B sales rose 1.7%, reversing the flat performance in June. On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, sales were up 1.4%.
Food Caterers led year-on-year growth with a sharp 14.7% surge. Fast Food Outlets also performed well, with a 4.8% increase. Cafes, Food Courts & Other Eating Places edged up by 0.5%.
Meanwhile, Restaurants remained the only segment to post a decline, slipping 2.4% compared to July 2024.
On a monthly basis, Fast Food Outlets rose 2.4%, whilst Restaurants grew 1.9%, showing a recovery from previous softness. Sales at Cafes, Food Courts & Other Eating Places and Food Caterers also ticked up 0.9% and 0.2% respectively.
