ThaiBev denies selling its Vietnam business

Such claims from various media sources are said to be “false and without merit”.

Thai Beverage Public Company (ThaiBev) has denied reports that it is seeking a buyer for its business in Vietnam, according to an SGX filing.

The company said that claims made by international and Vietnamese media are “false and without merit” and that it is confident in its business in the country through subsidiary Vietnam Beverage Company.

In an previous announcement ThaiBev said that it is currently exploring the potential listing of its beer business. However, the company emphasised that the process is still in its early stages and there is no certainty that such transaction will occur.
