Check out Royal Plaza on Scotts' brewing plans for Earth Hour 2013

Earth Hour 2013 will be on Saturday, 23 March, from 8.30pm.

According to a company release, patrons in Carousel will be invited to participate in Earth Hour, where they will light up environmentally-friendly candles placed on their tables. This interactive element will help to transmit the message behind Earth Hour that each individual can show their support for a humane cause and change the world they live in.

An organic salad station will also be available and patrons can choose from ten types of organic vegetables, specially selected by the chef. Organic products encourage sustainable agriculture and ensure a safer world for future generations to live in.

This has inspired the culinary team to go green on the buffet counters to promote awareness amongst our patrons.

Lights will also be switched off at the award-winning buffet restaurant.

Lights in the lobby will be dimmed to the minimal, leaving only minimal emergency lights for guests’ movement. The hotel’s signature candle installation will also be lit up with environmentally-friendly candles. Please find attached for a visual of our lobby with lit up candles.

Electronic and hard copies of signages will be displayed in various areas of the hotel to share with guests about this meaningful initiative and encourage them to switch their room lights off before leaving the rooms.

RP will also be tapping on our social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter, to spread the word on the green efforts to guests and employees.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
